The following is a diagram of the mobile phone recycling process.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words
Given is a flow chart indicating the process by which mobile phones are recycled.
Overall, it is apparent from the information supplied that there are three primary phases entailed in the process, beginning with phone collection and ending with component resale.
Looking at the details, it is noteworthy that prior to the actual processing of recycling the phones, it is first necessary for the recycler to collect these devices from consumers. In the second stage of the process, initially, once phones have been detached from their batteries, both these components are then dismantled. Having been separated into mechanical and magnetic parts, they are classified into three differing groups, namely metal parts, plastics, and other materials.
During the next phase, copper and precious metals are extracted from metal components, with the former being smelted and the latter being refined. It is also through this procedure that raw materials are manufactured and reused. Plastics, meanwhile, are either converted into lower-grade ones or incinerated to recover energy. Subsequently, the resale of components takes place.
