the diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
The process illustrates how data on weather is collected by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for forecasting.
It is apparent that there are four steps in the process, beginning with the collection of information about the weather and ending with the broadcasts to the public.
At the first and second stages, there are three ways of accumulating the input and three methods used to analyze it. Firstly, the satellite provides photos for analysis. The changes in the weather can also be presented on the radar screen and chart. Secondly, the data can also be collected by radar, then observed on the screen of this device. Finally, the drifting buoy can also receive information about the weather, which is shown on the synoptic chart.
In the following stage, preparations for the broadcasts are made on the computer. The process concludes with the outcome is weather forecasting broadcasted on media such as news on the television, radio or recorded announcement.
