summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where possible
The diagram illustrates how the sugar is being synthesized from the sugar cane starting from the fields to the factory.
Overall, sugar canes are grown in fields for 12-18 months, then harvested and goes through step-wise process with the help of automated machines in the factories and end up as clear sugar crystals.
After 12-18 months, the sugar canes are harvested by both humans and modified harvesting automobiles. Following harvest, sugar canes are introduced into crushing machine, which crushes them and produce sugar cane juice. The impurities in the juice is filtered with limestone filter, in this step clarified juice is extracted by filtration. Then the juice is heated up in a evaporator and the liquid sugar cane juice changes to syrup form.
Sugar crystals in the syrup is seperated from the water content by using the centrifuagtion method. Now the crystallized sugar is allowed to be dried and cooled. This is the step wise process in manufaturing of crystal sugar from sugar cane.
