The graph illustrates the accountability of four nations in total world population in 1950, 2002 and also predicts the figures in 2050. The data is calibrated in percentage.
Overall, it is evident that China accounted for majority of citizens in 1950 as well as in 2002 but it is noticing a decline of future population. China accounted for more than 20% of the World's population in 1950 though, the figures decreased to 20% in 2002 and would further reduce considerably to 15% by 2050. In contrast, India is the only country which recorded a rising trend in increase of citizens. The figures increased from 15% in 1950 to approximately more than 16% in 2002 and similar rise is predicted in 2050 with numbers reaching around 18%.
In addition, USA and Japan would also experience reduction in population figures similar to China. The figures of residents in USA was more than 5% but, in 2002 it had only 5 % of the Worlds total residents and will have the same amount of residents in 2050. Japan's percentage of citizen was below 5% and will reduce gradually to approximately 2% in 2050
