Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Friends are the most essential part of human life because they are always with you when you have hardships and they share your happiness when you are joyful. Also, it is impossible to imagine my life without someone dear to me and someone who understands me better than anyone. So, I agree that we should keep our old friends and I feel this way for the following reasons. First of all, a person who knows you better is always a relief because he or she knows how to act around you, depending on the situation. So, the longer you have a friend, the better your life will be. My example is a compelling example of this. I have been friends with my close friend for many years. When I was preparing to participate in the singing competition, she always encouraged and praised me to do my best. After seeing the result of the competition, I felt really sad that I just wanted to be alone. Surprisingly, she understood it from my state and when I felt better, she came and hugged me tightly. If I did not have a friend like him, I would have already given up. Secondly, having lifelong friends means creating valuable memories because it is great to spend time with our friends and make interesting things together. We can make a bullet list with our close friends and try exhilarating things such as kayaking, bungee jumping, sky diving, and so on. On top of that, when we have someone we can trust our life on, we can improve many parts of ourselves. According to a study conducted by educators, competitiveness increases productivity by ten percent. In this hectic society, people who are embarking on a new journey, such as students, need to be in their best shape at every moment. So, studying and learning with a close one, will have positive effects on both of us. In conclusion, having lifelong friends is essential to us. Being with our best friends is a blessing, as well as fortunate. Also, we will create memorable memories and develop ourselves, which in result will be beneficial.
