The graph shows the percentages of people going to cinemas in a European country on different days.
The bar chart illustrates the number of European movie goers who chose to go to the cinema on six different days of the week in 2003, 2005, and 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that people living in Europe always went to see a movie on Friday over the given period. While, most of the days, the percentages of people going to the movie theaters fluctuated, there were fewer people prefer to go to the cinema on Wednesday throughout the three-year timeline.
In 2003, Saturday was the day a majority of European people decided to go to see a film, at 45%, followed by the percentage of people who go to the cinema on Friday and Saturday, which both stood at 30%. The lowest figure can be seen on the first day of the week, which was registered at the rate of 10% of residents would go to the movie theater. In 2005, the level of movies remained the same on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as Saturday still remaining to the favorite day to see a movie on a big screen, and the proportion of European residents who go on Sunday slightly rose to around 34% while the number of moviegoers on Friday remained unchanged.
In 2007, the percentage of those who chose Saturday, Sunday and Monday the day to go to the cinema had a small decrease, which stood at approximately 43%, 33% and 13% respectively. A similar pattern was witnessed in the proportion of people going to the movie theater on Wednesday whose figures experienced a downward trend over three years before hitting the lowest point in the last year, at about 8%. The number of movie goers going on Tuesday and Thursday had a small increase, which was then registered at roughly 18% and 19% in turn. The only day European people want to go to see a film that remained at the same rate throughout the shown period was Friday.
