STUDY PLAN
Dear Sir/Madam/Officer,
My name is Dinh Hoang Phat, and I was born on August 22nd, 1995 in Ho Chi Minh City. I am writing this letter to explain why I would like to apply for a study permit in Japan.
When I was at the Ho Chi Minh University for Medicine and Pharmacy, I always dreamt of studying abroad. In my opinion, the education system in our country has a gap between theory and clinical practice. In terms of my passion, I have taken an interest in Physiotherapy. In my 4 consecutive years at university, I was considered a good student with an average grade of X. Moreover, I was hired to work for a non-governmental organization called Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped after graduation.
I realized that studying abroad would give me many opportunities to learn new skills and do laboratory research. As mentioned above, I have been especially interested in physiotherapy. I hope that I will be capable of providing suitable rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in the community. To be specific, I witnessed many people with disabilities who suffered numerous difficulties from neurological disorders. Their families and caregivers did not really understand the impact of what they were going through. Though I did my best to support them through the worst times and assist them in getting professional help, there were still many moments when I felt powerless and clueless due to not having enough knowledge and skills to fulfill their expectations. This challenging experience set me on the path to pursuing a clinical physiotherapist as a career.
To pursue my dream, I have been searching on the Internet and asking some of my colleagues about the best country to study for a Master's in Physiotherapy. After consideration, I finally chose Japan for my studies. I trust that your education system as well as your culture are what I am looking for. Japan is also well-known for its culture and kindness. These are the reasons why I think, aside from the academic aspect, I could also learn outstanding knowledge from the surrounding people. All of these have led me to choose Gunma University and the research field below: Fundamental Rehabilitation Sciences. With this decision, I am excited to study Fundamental Physical Therapy with Dr. Shigeru Usuda. Gunma University can provide me with the essential knowledge and skills for my career.
I want to return to my country to work after graduation. I would like to apply my knowledge and skills to support people with disabilities and contribute to the development of Physiotherapy in Vietnam, especially those who have health and financial issues. Vietnam is a developing country, and there are a number of people with disabilities in rural areas. Therefore, I believe that I will have a good job as well as opportunities to fulfill my dream of helping those people. With a desire to study and experience new knowledge in high-standard education, I hope that I am fortunate enough to get your approval on my visa. I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to write some words about my future plans.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Dinh Hoang Phat.
