Lourve is the most popular art gallery with approximately 9 million people visiting in 2011. The second most well-known is Metropolitan Museum in the USA with 6 million visitors, followed closely by British Museum in the UK with about 5,8 million.
In contrast, those figure in the other 3 nations is quite modest. The number of people attracted by the National Museum of Korea is just above 3,1 million. Besides, the figure for visitors coming to Museo del Prado in Spain is only one-third of the number of people in the Metropolitan Museum. State Hermitage in Russia has the least visitors with slightly below 3 million.
