Because of your job, you have to move to a new city. Write a letter to someone you know who lives there. In your letter
ask them to help you find somewhere to live
tell them the kind of accommodation you want to find
tell them which area of the city you want to live in
Dear Jenny,
How are you doing? It has been a long time since we last met. I'm writing to let you know that I will be moving to your city next month.
I'm very excited and can't believe that we will be able to meet soon. Since you're the only friend I have there, I was wondering if you could help me to find a place to live.
I'm looking for a two-bedroom apartment that is fully furnished. It would be ideal if it also includes free parking spot. My budget for rent will be around $500 - 1000 per month, excluding any additional facility fees.
Considering my office is located in the city center, I'd prefer to live somewhere within a distance of 5 - 10km. If possible, I'd like to find a place in a neighbourhood with a commercial complex, so that I can easily go shopping or watch movies after work.
Please call me if you come across any suitable apartments. Once I have settled down, please come over for a drink or meal anytime.
Warm Regards,
Hoa Ng
