The illustrated table demonstrates the average age of people who retired in several nations in 2003. Overall, men's average age is likely to be higher than women's whilst Korea's average age is the highest for retirement workers.
In terms of male gender, it is obviously witnessed that almost all nations' retirement ages are above 60 years old except France with 57 years and 4 months, being the lowest index among 6 countries. In addition, Australia’s and America’s indexes were approximately near the middle of the 60s while Japan and Italy had the same average age of retirement about 67 years and 4 months. Moving to the final country, Korea’s average age was outstanding with nearly 69 years old.
On the other hand, it seems that the index order has remained, considering that France was continuously in the lowest position with 56 years and 9 months. In other nations, women tend to retire 1 year earlier than men. Finally, Korea’s people retired most lately among others with 67 years and 2 months.
