The great experience that we human beings we can have in life is to have a connection and a good relationship with different people whom we meet in our daily doings. Having a network with different people we always feel achievers, happier and more satisfied with our lives, it is very important to build and maintain a relationship with all people. Tanzania has many protected areas, and adjacent there different communities living, sometimes wild animals cross the boundaries of the protected area and reach the communities. In this situation, conflicts between humans and wildlife cannot be solved in a harmony way if there is no good relationship between communities and protected areas authorities.
There are ways that I have been using so as to build and maintain the relationship of my professional capacity as the wildlife manager, and these are few:
I build and maintain communication skills. I understand that perfect communication is when someone understands what has been communicated, and if communication is poor may lead to achievements failure in the society and organization. In conservation and management of wildlife perspective, clear communication and networking among employees are very important since it facilitates the achievement of origination objectives. For example, when I was doing an internship in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, I worked hard so as to maintain good communication with workers and the adjacent communities.
The use of social Medias is another way that I use to build and maintain my professional capacity. The use of mobile phones, facebook, WhatsApp, tweeter and Instagram are some of the media that different people use to communicate easily.in my professional, it has been my culture to share different information about the conservation and management of wildlife through these Media.
I accept differences and appreciate. In society, we can’t be similar and if we are similar it may be difficult to challenge different situations that we come across. I always learn and accept differences that come from other people and this has been helpful to me during my lifetime of work.
Moreover listening effectively and giving time to people have been my ways to build and maintain my professional capacity.
In future career, as am requesting to be sponsored to undertake master in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System in one of selected Universities, I wish I would use these skills in:
• Creating a strong relationship with the Chevening community during my professional career and after my study.
• Leading and influencing my fellow students during my study and after studying.
• Creating a platform for students to become one community with the same vision for our success in our career.
• Creating a friendly environment with students and teachers in the university so as to achieve the intended goals in our career. I will enhance this by building and maintaining good communication.
• Achieving a professional career of being an expert in Remote sensing and GIS. This is through the use of technology and good communication with students and teachers.
