How is your generation different from your parents’ generation?
The more our life becomes modern, the more young generations are different from the previous ones. It is highly believed that a new generation will bring to our life new perceptions about the world. Personally, I suppose that there are several differences, especially the balance, the lifestyle and love.
First of all, younger generations claim that everyone should have their own right in all aspects. For instance, along with the fast speed of social enhancement, women start going out to work at companies. Nowadays, they are no longer responsible for just managing the house, they can even take the responsibility for finding jobs to get money for their family. Moreover, the men have to share housework with their mother, sister or wife. Another example of this opinion is that everyone can express their feelings in spite of their sex. The men can cry if they feel sad and the women can encourage them. It is different from the older generation’s opinion that the men have to be strong under any circumstances to protect the women.
Secondly, it is not complicated to distinguish the lifestyle between young and old generations. The youngsters feel that getting tattoos or hair colors are not the standard to estimate someone’s personality. In contrast, in the past, it is supposed that people who have tattoos or hair colors are not good, they have bad behaviour and low knowledge. Furthermore, younger generations are keen on going out and having night parties with their friends. However, the previous generations think that it is a bad habit. It will negatively affect their health and annoy other people.
Finally, this modern life lets us know that love comes from our heart, not from our sexuality. In the older generation’s mind, the men just love the women and the women just love the men. If somebody is different from this belief, they definitely have some problems with their mental health. On the other hand, the youngsters do not have the same view. They believe that mutual love is the best because nothing is more important than our feelings.
In conclusion, although there are many changes from old to young generations, we have to respect each other. It is my firm conviction that not all the changes are good for our life, but some of those changes raise our awareness of the balance, the lifestyle and also the love between people.
