Although japan is a beautiful country with many heritage sites, japan has suffered repeatedly from natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. Nevertheless, by the ingenuity, the intelligence and the careful preparedness of people living there have made japan a leading country in disaster prevention and mitigation. For instance, in the massive 2011 earthquake and tsunami, many houses, infrastructures in japan were heavily destroyed. However, japan had overcome these difficulties quickly and people could come back to their daily life. Besides, japanese citizens reactions were super astonishing. When the chance finally came for people to pick up basic goods like fruit and clothes at local stores, throngs of japanese citizens dutifully lined up, single file. From an early age, the japanese learn lessons about keeping quiet in public, respecting the elderly and helping others. these things have followed the children to grow up, created a society full of order and courtesy. They always carry a calm, gentle demeanor and respect the rules and laws in society. For example, in the past, I saw a video on YouTube saying that elementary school students in japan served their meals and cleaned their school without help from their teachers. This makes me admire the japanese so much. Therefore, I want to choose japan as the country that I will study in the future so that I can learn those valuable personalities and develop myself in the best way. Moreover, japan is a leader in the field of technology, which will be an appropriate place for me to pursue my future major: Computer Science.
