Employment is an inevitable phase one must go through in his life. Many students engage in part-time jobs during their studies. Some people opine that studies and employment distract one from other, while others maintain that students need to work as part of their studies for various reasons. This essay will discuss why employment during studies are vital for students and the benefits it adds.
To begin with, all the students do not have the money for paying their tuition fees. Even though some scholarships are available for students, they are not sufficient for their daily needs and lifestyle. According to a study conducted by an eminent university, 40% of the students in USA work during their studies. In addition, when students earn during their studies, they understand the value of money early in their life and their maturity level will improve significantly.
On the other hand, there are students who really needs time, comfort and peace to concentrate on their studies and score high grades. They are of the opinion that when students start to work, they get distracted and it will deteriorate the studies of the students. According to research, the students who don't work during their studies are not aware of the hurdles people face in life and they are living in their comfort zones. Moreover, when these students are given some stress, they go into depression.
In conclusion, even though time, comfort and peace are vital for studies, students must understand the hurdles they would face in life, and employment during studies will augment the maturity level of the students. Hence, based on the above pieces of evidence, I concluded that study and employment don't distract one another and it has myriad benefits.
