Are books more important than experience? Different people will give answers to this question into their own experiences, concerns, emotion, and their education backgrounds. However, when it comes to me, I believe that experiences are most important that the books for the following three main reasons.
In the first place, I would have to say that there is no denying the fact that experiences have the great impacts on people’s life. Experience is a great teacher, allowing us to not make the same mistake twice. This is something we are not able to find from the books. In most cases, when folks make mistake, they get angry or become frustrated, which causes them to recall the event as an experience because they tasted it. This enables folks to be alerted when they find themselves in the same situation and make a right decision. This is what makes experience more valuable than reading the books.
In the second place, in my opinion, the most important thing is that we can remember things easily when we experienced. Experiences stay in our mind for a long period. For example, when I was a freshman in aerospace engineering, our aerodynamic instructor explained how the airplanes are able to fly, I also read the book to get some idea for better understanding, however it wasn’t until we went to Aerodynamic lab and tested a wing in wind tunnel, so that I fully understood the mystery behind of fly.
In the third place, it depends on folks’ situation how to conclude and get the massage of the book and also how they should interpret its massage own life. In addition, some people do not have time to devote in reading book. As a result, experience is a very significant factor to consider when comparing the books.
