In some courses grades are based solely on exams, while in other classes, grades are based on class participation than on exams.which type of grading system do you prefer?which do you prefer use specific reasons to support your response.
In the grading system in which i studied course grades are based solely on exam rather than class participation. Although class participation based grading system is not a wrong way but i have some points that inspires me to prefer that grading system (based on exam).
My one point is that, because of some reason if a student is not able to take participation on class, in that condition grading system that are based on exams are very helpful, because in that system student get a chance to prove himself on exams and students get one more chance to prove their self. When i was Ninth Standard, i was an obedient student in my class but surprisingly, i had an accident and i was totally injured because of that accident and unfortunately, i did not performed well in class but my school grading system was based on exams so, after recovery i got a chance to prove myself again and that grading system palliate my tension of exams.
My another reason is that there are many students who have financial problems so they need to work part time or sometimes full time to support their self financially as a result they are not able to manage a proper attendance and, too much participation in class so they are purely dependent on the exams.
I also have many friends who have these kinds of problems and also my personal experience forces me to choose or prefer a course in which grades are based solely on exam rather than class participation.
