In the lecture, the professor talks about two ways for animal to preserve food. There are 2 key points. The first one is that they will dry out the food before they store it. For example, squirrels dry the mushroom on the branch before storage, so that the bacteria cannot grow without water molecule. The second way is that they will make food cool. For example, beavers bring the leaves and branches under the water to make the food cold, and to keep the food away from bacteria.
