STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Master of Science MSc in Supply Chain Management

during Covid-19 pandemic period has proved how important supply chain management is. A successful supply chain and logistic process brings us more benefits than we expected. I am always self-questioned about how to be part of the runway of supply chain resilience. Thus, I am keen to leverage my professional competence and pursue my journey in this industry at the institute of technology carlow in Ireland. supply chain management has never been more important than it is now. The fact that pursuing a master of science in supply chain management at it carlow allows me to enhance my knowledge, both theoretically and my previous practical experience. A well-structured education in this field makes me stronger to leverage the supply chain management process at a higher level. To be honest, in parallel with my 7 years of practical experience at 3 different companies in the Animal Health industry, I strongly believe that well-education of supply chain management which forms us in the right track of helping any businesses improve their profits and provide them with suitable strategies in terms of enhancing strongly supply chain core.

I completed my Bachelor degree in 2012 with 6.1/10 from Ho Chi Minh City university of Foreign Languages and Information technology (HUFLIT). Learning from some of the best of minds, I was able to gain a strong hold on the fundamentals of administration, which provides me with ideas on how the business operates. I particularly enjoyed studying this subject, as it shows me how important operation is within the company. The business concepts were being taught during the four years of university life. this knowledge has supported me during my working journey after university graduation.

after full four years of academic pursuits, I have been involved in the real organization operation for one and half years as a business and administration coordination in a M+R forwarding company. I have ended up in this role by moving to the cooperate industry as a supply chain officer at the representative office of Elanco vietnam, which provides distribution model of representative office in vietnam. after nearly four years as a bridge between distributors, vietnam commercial team, headquarters and manufacturing sites. I jumped to my next position as a supply chain specialist at Zoetis vietnam LLC for a year. my main roles were controlling demand planning and inventory management. during this period, I have gained a lot of knowledge about the go-to market model. Thanks to next movement of being a commercial supply chain at Boehringer Ingelheim vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia. I have experienced both the distribution model and the go-to market model at the same time. As a commercial supply chain, I understand supply chain management is one of the key roles within the business, the supply chain team acts like the backbone of a company. how well we maintain the stocks and foresee market demand based on historical data analysis and market assumptions would impact to company’s core value.

To be ready for the next chapter of my life, I believe that well-trained strategies in this specific subject not only leverage us to a higher position but also provide us an improvement for the whole supply chain process around the world. The Covid-19 pandemic period has shown us that a broken supply chain process might impact the globe’s economy. I strongly push myself to the next journey by attending in master in science supply chain management at it carlow. it can be seen how well-structured subjects provided by it carlow are fully enhancing my knowledge to improve my talents and provide me with the opportunity to work on a global scale.
