The charts below show information on crime in the US for 2002. Write a report for a universal lecturer describing the information below.
As can be seen, the line graph displays the trend regarding the correlation between age and the amount of criminality in the UK 2002, while the pie chart illustrates the proportion of different offences in the UK.
Clearly, there is a noticeable high point of offences during the adolescent period among the age groups in 2002. Besides, the inmates were classified into 4 types by different convictions.
In 2002, the criminality began showing up at the age of 8, followed by an appalling upsurge to 70% at the age of 16. The conviction rate then climbed to a record high of 80% at the age of 20; thereafter, the rate immediately turned down remarkably all the way to 20%. Remaining a steady decline from the age of 28 to the age of 60, the percentages finally became lower than 10%.
The pie chart provided the proportions and different reasons why the prisoners were in jail in the UK in 2002. The four divided categories included violent crimes, property crime, drug crime and public order crime. It is obvious that the crime type accounting for the highest portion was up to 40% -- the prisoners of this type were violent offenders. The second and the third largest portions were those who were convicted of property and drug criminalities at 23% and 22% respectively. The smallest part was conviction for public order crime at 9%.
