As can be seen, the line chart discloses the correlation between age and the amount of criminality in the UK 2002 while the pie chart illustrates the proportions of different offences in the UK.

Undoubtedly, a noticeable high point of offences during the adolescence among the age groups in 2002. Furthermore, the convictions were sectored into 4 categories.

In 2002, the criminality began rising slightly at the age of 8, followed by an appalling upsurge to 70% among 16-year-old teens. The conviction rate then rocketed to a record high of 80% at the age of 20; thereafter, the rate immediately plunged all the way to 20%. Remaining a steady decline from the age of 28 to the age of 60, the percentages finally became lower than 10%.

The proportions and different reasons why the prisoners were in jail in the UK in 2002 are given in the pie chart, including violent crime, property crime, drug crime and public order crime. It is obvious that the crime type accounting for the highest portion was up to 40%, of which the prisoners were violent offenders. The second and the third largest portions were those convicted of property and drug criminalities, at 23% and 22% respectively. The smallest part was conviction for public order crime at 9%.
