Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to make a claim on an item that I lost on my holidays. Recently, I took a vacation in Hawaii for two weeks, during which, my wristwatch was lost.
The watch was a Rolex model X, made of platinum. It was a valuable item both financially and sentimental because I inherited it from my late uncle. I suspect the watch was either stolen or fallen off my pocket at the hotel that I was staying in. I perfectly recall taking it off my hand and putting it in my pocket when I was washing my hand in the restroom, afterward, it was nowhere to be found when I entered my room as if it had vanished.
However, I am delighted that I purchased a comprehensive insurance package when I was booking my travel tickets, which cover both stolen and lost items. Hence, I believe that I am entitled to a full reimbursement. I appreciate it if you could process my claim at the earliest convenience or direct me through the procedure if any further action is needed.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need more information regarding the aforementioned matter.
Yours faithfully,
John Doe
