Write a letter to a friend.you have borrowed something from and it get damaged.
1) Apologize for damaging the product
2) Explain what happened
3) Say how are you going to fix the issues.
Dear John,
I hope you and your family are well! I`m writing to let you know that the kitchen appliance which I borrowed from you got damaged last week while using it.
I borrowed last week the blender which you have just bought during your last trip in United Kingdom, and it was a brand-new device from a reputable make. When I borrowed it, I tried to use it once and it damaged due to my wrong usage. Please accept my apologies for the unwanted current situation.
I tried to switch the mixer ON after connecting it to the power supply, but it did not work at all. The instruction manual of the blender states that power supply should be connected only to 230 Voltage though a special adaptor; however, I connected it directly to a higher power supply with 415 Voltage. This is the reason why the blender`s motor got burnt out.
I have cash voucher from one shop where in the city center, and it sells appliances including the kitchen items. You can reimburse the full cost of a new blender by this cash voucher. Therefore, please accept it to buy a new device instead of the faulty blender.
Seeing you soon,
Ayoub
