Governments should offer college and university education free of charge to all students.
One of the main strategies that government adopt is increasing the level of literacy in their society by implementation certain programs like offering college and university education free of charge to special students. Because some kinds of students do not have enough money to continue their education at higher academic level and they have to abandon their education. Offering free education for students brings positive and negative consequences for governments that cannot be overlooked easily.
If universities and college want to render education free of charge to all students, little by little face several problems and could not support all students correctly. Their budget limits them in order to equip their facilities and their laboratories. Increasing their cost enforce them to decrease the number of professors who have high salaries that will eventually lead to declining the level of education. Therefore, the most proportion of universities that implement this strategy suffers from poor quality education system and would not be able to rear good students for their society.
Moreover, some students who do not have enough talent to continue their education at a specific major prefer staying at academic environment to finding job and waste university’s budget. In addition, students who do not like their major pass their exam with lowest point and make an irreversible damage for both their university’s budget and their society. These kinds of students are not concern about costs that are spent by government for learning special skills.
However, there are some students who are hard working and perseverance that do not have enough money to continue their education at higher academic level. Offering free education for these kinds of students provide them with the golden opportunity to follow their dreams at academic environment and discover their talent at certain majors. Government should offer free education for special students who are intelligence and will be able to be useful persons for their society. Investing on these kinds of students is a mutual deal for both governments and persons because the governments could assure that their budget spend on right way and the students could be assured that meet their academic dreams free of charge.
In conclusion, free education at higher academic level has ten times as expensive as that at lower academic level. So, governments should be assured that their budget is devoted on a right way and students do not waste their budget.
