You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn't write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Sam and Sara,
Hi. How’ve you been doing? I hope this letter finds you well.
To start, thanks for your great hospitality while I was at your place and making the best holiday I ever had. Also, I was more than delighted to receive the photos of our time together.
I’m sorry not to write to you sooner. As soon as I got home, my mother became sick, and I’ve been taking care of her. She’s recovering, though, and there’s no need to be worried.
I was wondering if you would come to Mashhad at the end of this month. Firstly, it’s going to be some days off owing to some national holidays coming up. Also, this time of the year, the weather in Mashhad is just perfect, letting people laze around and soak in the fresh atmosphere. Besides, not only will we be having a great time together, but it gives me the chance to return your favor and host you for some days.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Yours,
Aidin
