The bar chart show data about participation on variety of sports in both genders in New Zealand in the year 2002. Overall, there was differences of boys and girls in joining given sports. Males was most favorable in soccer while proportion of females is highest in playing netball.
As observed from the graph, in 2002, rates of girls in New Zealand took part in netball reaching the largest figure, at 25%. Meanwhile, only roughly 1% of boys was keen this sports. By contrast, percentages of soccer in boys, at nearly 25%, was five times higher that of figure for girls. Moreover, proportions for cricket, athletics, martial arts and basketball was more outstanding by males with the figure standing of approximately 10% in these sports. It is interesting that number for cricket played by females accounted for the lowest in all shown activities. The percentages for other games played by males constituted for under 20% compared to only 10% for females.
