The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison whre relevant.

The line chart illustrates the weekly total grams of fish and other three kinds of meat consumed by people who lived in a European country over 25 years, from 1979 to 2004. The units are measured in grams per person per week. In general, chicken, in term of the amount of consumption, constantly increased, while the others decreased, with the trend of fish remaining marginal toward the other figures.

The amount of chicken eaten by the people climbed by 100 to 250 in 2004. This rise has shifted chicken to be the most popular food for the last 15 years of the given period, which replaced the position of beef.

By contrast, the figure of beef, lamb, and fish went down during the 25 year period. At the early given years, beef was the most favorable food in the country. Regardless of a sharp rise between 1983 and 1985, the figure fell to hit its lowest point at 100 by 2004. Looking more closely at lamb and fish, there is a striking similarity between the quantity of the intake of lamb and fish, with the amount of consumption falling down from 150 and 60 in 1979 to 60 and 40 in the end of the given period, respectively.
