The bar chart provides information on three different types of waste disposal in a European country over a period of four years from 2005. Units are measured in million tonnes.
It can be seen from the graph that in 2005, the amount of landfill method of disposal had the highest at 2000 million tonnes, while the method of burning was merely 900 million tonnes. Meanwhile, the figure for dumping in the sea was exactly 1200 million tonnes in this country.
However, the figure for both method of burning and dumping in ocean showed a slight increase, which rose almost 300 million tonnes growth in 2006. In contrast, the landfill method declined dramatically to 1600 million tonnes in 2006from a peak of 2000 million tonnes in 2005. By 2008, the trash disposal of dumping in the sea method hiked immediately to reach well under 600 million tonnes, while other two method of waste collection fell dramtically at 1200 million tonnes and 900 million tonnes respectively.
