You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to let you know that I am unhappy with my current living arrangements. My roommate’s behaviour is intolerable making it very difficult for me to work. I hope you will consider my situation favourably.
Let me explain my situation in more detail. The problem started a month ago when my current roommate moved in with me. Prior to that, I was very happy about sharing the room with my previous roommate. My current roommate talks on the phone throughout the time and plays very loud music at night. Because of all this, I am unable to sleep properly and therefore, cannot concentrate on my studies.
Would you kindly transfer me to another room? I would prefer to stay alone in a room, as my final examinations begin in two weeks, and I have to compensate for the loss of studies of last month.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Harman
