The line graph provides information about the quantity of books read by males and females at the Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014.
Overall, the number of books read by men increased steadily but substantially over time, whereas the proportion of books read by women experienced a decline near the end of the given period, despite initially exceeding their male counterparts.
In 2011, the books read by men totaled around 3000, much lower than the sum of books read by women. This figure saw an increase of about 1000 a year later, before rising drastically to more or less 14000 by the end of the three-year period.
On the other hand, females read almost 5000 books in 2011. This statistic continued to climb gradually over the years and finally peaked at nearly 10000 books in 2013. However, by 2014 their reading experienced a slight decline, returning to the same value as it had been in the previous year.
