The graph below shows annual water usage (in millions of cubic meters) by industries in some country.
The graph provided represents Industrial consumption of water in millions of cubic meters by one country in a year.
From the general perspective, it was observed that there are two main sources of water supply to the industries which were groundwater supply and public supply. It can be viewed that there is a vast utilization of groundwater compared to that of public supply.
The chemical manufacturing industry used the largest amount of water supply both groundwater and public supply. Topping on the list, it uses nearly 670 millions of cubic meters of water per year altogether. In the meanwhile, metal industry uses nearly 330 million moving to the specificity 240 million were supplied from groundwater and 90 from the public supply. Food and drinks industry occupies the third place in the list which uses nearly 110 million from the groundwater and 190 from the public supply which together consumes 300 million per year. Next position in order was the paper industry which uses nearly 190 million of groundwater and one-eighth part of groundwater that is approximately 20 million of public supply water is used per year. Machinery industry uses one-tenth part of the public supply as the groundwater supply. Textile industry and fuel industry together use very less water that is nearly 90 and 80 million cubic meters per year respectively.
In conclusion, most of the groundwater supply is utilized by the chemical industry followed by the Metal industry. Contradictory to this, public supply water is mostly used by only food/drinks and Machinery industries.
