Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really.interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrollment officer. In your letter
• explain why you are writing
• describe your circumstances
• ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enrol in the course
Dear John,
I have read about a computer course your company is offering and I am writing this letter to express my interest. First, let me brief you about my academic background. I have completed my bachelor’s degree in commerce; followed by Master’s in Business Administration. I had never got the chance to study computer as a course, but it’s always been very fascinating to me. I have been using computer at my home and my workplace for a good long time.
I read your advertisement details about advance excel in 30 days. It seems very informative and useful to me and I would definitely like to enroll for it. The knowledge will certainly help me perform office tasks more efficiently and in smart way.
However, I am afraid to inform you that I do not fulfill your criteria of having prior elementary course. As I mentioned earlier that I have not studied computer at academics level. Could I ask you for a favor to exempt the eligibility criteria in my case and register me for this course?
I shall be grateful to you for this. Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours Sincerely,
Sam
