A friend who lives in another country has invited you to come and stay with him/her on your next holiday. You are too busy to accept the invitation Write a letter to your friend. In your letter, 1. Thank him/her for invitation, 2. Explain why you can not come, 3. Ask him/her about other times to visit.
Dear Butter,
I’m delighted to receive your letter. It’s good to hear that your are adjusting well in your new life in Sydney. From your words, I can vividly imagine how lovely the harbour city. It was such a sweet thought of you for inviting me and offering your place for me to stay.
I would love to come over in December for a vacation but I regret to say that I won’t have much time to spare because of prior commitments. I will be flying to Japan on the first week of the month for business travel. After that, my family have promised to visit our relatives in the province for th Christmas holidays.
How about if I come on February or April next year? I think summer would be a perfect season to visit because the weather will be warm enough to enjoy the beaches of Bondi. Fall would also be an equally great season too!
Let me know your thoughts. I’m looking forward to spending time with you and excited to start booking my flights soon.
Love,
Fly
