The diagram below depicts the fluctuation of average house prices in five different regions from 1990 to 2022, namely New York, Madrid, Tokyo, Frankfurt and London, in comparison to average house prices in 1989.
At first glance, majority of the cities encountered a dropped in property prices from 1990 to 1995. Approximately a declined of 7.5% was accounted by Tokyo during that period of time. Similarly, London reflected the pattern in Tokyo (7.5%). In contrast, although the real estate prices rose in New York and Frankfurt, it was a mere 2% of increment.
On the other hand, most of the cities demonstrated an upsurge of homestead prices from 1996 to 2002. It is clear that London had a dramatic rise in Property price, almost 20% increase during 1996 and 2002. Despite being the sole city beneath the average house prices from 1989, an increment of nearly 2.5% was devoted by Tokyo from 1996 to 2002. Although the average property prices in Frankfurt during this period was above the average, it is evident that there was a trifling decline in 1%.
