It is clear that while the manufacturing cycle of a car from Honda and Toyota experienced the stability, that of Ford witnessed a dramatic increase during the period shown. Additionally, Toyota was by far the fastest company to make a complete car.
In 2000, Honda took nearly 33 days to manufacture an automobile, followed by about 28 days in Ford company. In comparison, Toyota spent least time producing a car, for approximately 18 days. Then both figures from Honda and Toyota slightly rose to about 35 days and just over 20 days respectively when there was a sudden drop in Ford company until reaching its lowest point, at about 11 days in 2004.
Honda spent more days to produce a car in the following years and stabilized at about 35 days in 2012. At the same period, there was a marginal fall in the figure of Toyota in 2008 and remained unchanged after that, at about 28 days. By contrast, Ford spent the exact 40 days on building a car in 2012, which was the highest number on the survey.
