The graphs provide information about worldwide energy consumption, the countries with oil reserves and the world oil prices from 2000 to 2025.
Summarize the following information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Given are two pie charts representing global energy consumption and the nations which possess oil reserves. Following line graph illustrates the worldwide cost oil between 2000 and 2025.
A glance at provided pie chart reveals the dominant stance of oil in worldwide energy consumption, 37% of total energy used in 2005. The next types of energies in high demand were coal and natural gas (28% and slightly less 23% consumed worldwide respectively). Surprisingly, hydro-electric and nuclear energies’ positions were the same 6%.
It is apparent from the chart that Saudi Arabia holds the largest oil reserves on the planet, owning one fifth of worldwide reserves. This was followed by countries namely other countries’ reserves (18%), Canada (14%) and Iran (10%). United States’ resources of oil are the least among these countries, merely 2% of global oil reserves.
Concentrating on graph, it can be implied that oil prices faced exponential upsurge by 2005, reaching a peak point of 59 dollars per barrel. For the rest of the span, this figure underwent steady decline until 2010, prior to leveling off. One barrel of oil is estimated to be 53 dollars in 2025.
