The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in the year 1999.
The pie chart illustrates the preference of visitors in terms of 4 different kinds of tourist destinations in the UK in 1999.
Overall, it is immediately clear that theme parks and museums & galleries attracted tourists the most, whereas wildlife parks and zoos were the least favorite place of interest in Britain in the given year.
Looking at the chart in detail, theme parks constituted the largest percentage among these given categories, at 38% with 5 certain places named. Specifically, around a half of tourists visiting theme parks went to Blackpool pleasure beach, while the remaining sites accounted for the other half, ranging from 10% to 17%.
Regarding the rest of categories of tourist attractions, the second most preferable site belonged to museums & galleries, at 37%. This was followed by the percentage of historic houses & monuments, which was nearly half as high as that of theme parks. Finally, wildlife parks & zoos came last with 9%.
