Overall, it can be seen that people in England travelled more in 2000 than in 1985 and that taxi mode experienced the most significant changes.
In England, average distance travelled by cur was at 3199 then for the next 25 years the average distance rose significantly to 4806. The usage of long distance bus rose more than two times from 54 in 1985 to 124 in 2000. Average distance by train and other modes of travel rose for approximately 130 and it accounted for 366 and 585 in 2000 respectively. People travelled by taxy 3 times more in 2000 than in 1985.
People used bicycle and local bus less that in 1985, which accounted for 41 and 274 in 2000. In 1985, each citizen in England walked 255 miles a year, by contrast, in 2000 it comprised of 237. Each Briton travelled by local bus 429 miles a year while in 2000 it constituted 274 miles.
