The bar chart illustrates the number of hours of leisure time enjoyed by males and females in five separate employment statuses.
Overall, the figures for leisure time enjoyed by men are higher than those of women in all of 3 different categories: employed full time, unemployed and retired. In the remainder categories, they are completely the datum of leisure time enjoyed by females.
Men and women tend to spend a lot more time on relaxing when they are unemployed. It takes women under 80 hours to do nothing while the figures for men is higher( over 80 hours). In term of the period they are retired, males and women have nearly an amount of leisure time as the third item. With men, the figure is just over 80 hours and it is over 70 hours for females. Look at the first category, hours of leisure time are nearly a half of those of the third item. When men work as full-time jobs, they spend lesser time on relaxing, which just account for approximately 50 hours while women spend around 40 hours on it.
With part-time job and housewives, we just see the figures for females. When they take charge of home-makers, they have just over 50 hours to wind down. Comparing with the second item, it is clearly that the amount of time is just below 10 hours.
