The given table illustrates the differences in the figure of employees and factories in England and Wales during in the period from 1851 to 1901.
Overall, England and Wales witnessed a downward trend in numbers of employees and an upward trend in establishing of factories.
It is clear that the requirement of male labor was higher than female counterparts, but in the year 1861, the number of female employees higher than male employees of 29,220 employees. However, in both these countries the amount of labor expected dramatic declined constantly from 477,100 employees (in which 287,100 males and 190,000 females) to 61,000 employees (31,000 males and 30,000 females) from 1851 to 1901.
In contrast, in England and Wales as day follows day many factories were constituted. In the first year of the table the number of factories stood at 225 and soared to 721 factories in 1881, despite of an upward trend in 1891 this number was documented significant decreased to 625 and by the end of the research, a marginal reduction of 25 factories was reported.
