Given are the graph and table comparing the amount of water used in the world and two specific countries, which are Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where water is consumed.
Overall, it is evident that an increase in global water use did not stop between the period given in the graph. For the table, Brazil used more water than Congo in 2000.
According to the graph, as we have seen, the highest use of water was observed in agriculture which consumed about 500(Km3) in 1900. Between 1900 and 2000, the rise of global water use in agriculture, industrial and domestic use was gradual. However, During the last 50 year to 2000, the amount of water used for agriculture boosted from around 1000(km3) to 3000(km3). like agriculture, it in industrial and domestic use went up but slightly. Generally, in 1950, the rate of industrial and domestic use was approximately the same but industrial use increased more than domestic use for which water is used to around 400(km3) to almost 1200 in 2000.
If the table was looked so clearly, it is evident that the difference in water consumption between Brazil and congo was significant in 2000. Beside the water consumption, the table also compares its population and irrigated land. Brazil had 176 million and 26,500 km2 irrigated land and their water consumption per person is 359 m3. In contrast to Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo had 5.2 million population and 100 km2 irrigated land only need 8 m3 water consumption per person.
