Given that the population of frog species declined even some went extinct, there are three ways proposed to protect the frogs' population from declining. Firstly, enacting a law that forbid the use of pesticides where the frogs live, as the pesticides would lead the frog to serious breathing problems as a result of destorying the nervous system. Secondly, killing a kind of fungus with high temperature in that the fugus is the main reason of frogs population declinging. Thirdly, the habitats of frogs should be well protected with sufficeint water. Because the habitats of frogs were threatened by human activities. While the lecturer disproves all of the three ideas as follows.
To begin with, it would not be economical or fair enough for the farmers if they do not use the pesticides which they rely on. Since there would be severe disadvantages for the farmers who woule face a bad harvest of corps.
In addition, it would be very complicated and difficult to kill the fugus. According to the passage, the fungus would make the frogs thick skins, then the frogs would die of dehydration because they could not absorb water through the thick skin. But teh lecturer contends that the treatment of killing frogs could not be settled in groups, instead, every frog would be treated individually and this work should cover generation to generration.
Thirdly, protecting the frogs' habitats with enough water is not the rudimental solution. In that the global warming charges on the disappearing water. Bulding more habitats of frogs is unlikely to protect these species from extinction.
