The bar chart illustrates the proportion of Australian males and females in 6 different groups of age who are physically active in a regular basis in the year 2010.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that women are likely to participate in regular physical activity than men. Besides, the gap between the amount of men and women doing regular physical activity is not so big.
It can be seen that men from 15 to 24 are more likely to take part in regular activity than women in the same ages, at 52.8%, whereas the amount of females in the group of 45 to 54, at 53.3, registered the highest figure of Australian people doing activities. This number also marked the gap of just 0.5%.
The lowest figure was witnessed in the group of men from 35 to 44 years old, in which there was just 39.5% of men were physically active. Similarly, women from 65 and older were the least active, with about 45.1% of Australian old people doing activities in a regular basis, showing the difference of 5.6% people in comparison to men.
