Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a postgraduate student at Pharmacy Department and a member of your library. I am writing this letter in reference to the issue of returning books on time which will not be possible for me this time due to certain unwanted emergency. Let me explain a little more.
Last week, I have withdrawn some books on pharmacology from your library against my student number which is PHA201412. As per the rules of the library, I was supposed to back those books on 5th June which is just the day after tomorrow. However, this evening, I have received an urgent call from my uncle living in Montreal who informed about the sickness of my aunt. In fact, my aunt is hospitalized now as she has got a mild stroke this morning, and I have to fly urgently there to see her at the hospital. Therefore, I will be unable to return those books on time borrowed from the library.
I would like to request you to allow me a few days of grace period, specifically 3 days more for returning those books. Therefore, I will be able to handover them to the library once I get back again in Toronto and resume my college classes.
I look forward to seeing your kind approval on the aforesaid issues.
Yours sincerely,
Kumar S Sampad.
