The given column graph illustrates the proportion of man and woman professors in the universities in 2012 . It can clearly seen from the graph that the biggest discrepancy seen between number of male and female faculties of engineering department .

In all seven department , the percentage of man professors were higher than woman except arts , education and medicine . About 58 % and 42 % of female and male faculties were in arts respectively . The opposite trend between proportion male and female professors is seen in education and engineering . About 76 % and 22 % lecturers in education while 18 % and 82 % lecturers of female and male in engineering department respectively . It clearly seen that percentage of female professors were least and for men were highest in engineering department out of all seven . Percentage of male and female lecturer were almost similar for law and science .It was around 40 % (female ) and 60 % (male ) .Proportion of male professors were slightly less (2 %) than the female and the figure of business faculties were 38 % and 62 % for female and male respectively .

Overall , gap between percentage of male and female professors was large in engineering and less in medicine and highest number of male lecturers in engineering .
