The pie charts compare the average proportion in terms of three different nutrients, namely Sodium, saturated fat and added sugar, contained in four types of meals eaten in the USA.
It is clear that similar proportion patterns can be seen from sodium and saturated fat segments. The highest number is sodium from dinner, while the percentage of sodium seen in breakfast is the lowest.
Looking at the figures closely, American’s dinner is consisted with 43% of sodium, 37% of saturated fat and 23% of added sugar, and the first two figures are the biggest numbers for each ingredient respectively. While the most significant part in snacks is added sugar, at 42%, the figures for the other two ingredients are much lower, with 21% saturated fat and 14% sodium.
American people consume less percentage for each nutrition for lunch and breakfast. The percentages of breakfast for three nutrition have no big difference, same for sugar and fat at 16% and less sodium at 14%. The percentage of sodium in lunch is doubled compared with the figure for breakfast, at 29%, and the figure for fat coming as the second important nutrient is 26%.
