The line graph illustrates the proportions of visitors who toured four distinct tourist attractions in Brighton, England over the period from 1980 to 2010. Units are measured in percentage.
Overall, the percentage of people who toured Pavilion and Pier has increased over the period given whilst the proportions of tourists who visited the Festival and Art Gallery have seen a decrease after 30 years. In addition, the Festival was the most favorite attraction at the start of the period whereas the Pavilion was the most popular tourist destination in final years.
On the one hand, around 25% of visitors have visited Pavilion in 1980. In the following years, there was a significant rise in the number of people who visited Pavillion and this number of tourists reached a peak of nearly 50% in 1995. From this point, the percentage of people who toured Pavilion has seen a considerable oscillation before reaching a low of above 30% in the final year. Similarly, the proportion of tourists who paid a visit to Pier has experienced a gradual upward trend before peaking at a high of above 20% in the final year. In contrast, the percentage of visitors who visited the Art Gallery was at more than 20% in 1980, after which this percentage has gone up dramatically to reach a peak of nearly 40% in 1985. After that time, this proportion has dropped noticeably to a low of below 10% in the final year. Likewise, the proportion of tourists who traveled to Festival was at 30% in 1980, after which this percentage has experienced a downward tendency to reach a low of a little less than 30% after 30 years.
