The diagram illustrates the process of making plastic bottles, and what happens to them afterward during their life cycle. Overall, the plastic goes through harvesting cereal and processing plant before it’s formed to a bottle and ready to be used, then continues its cycle in the rubbish to either get recycled or to the landfill.

In the first stage of making plastic bottles, after harvesting the cereal, the cereal gets transferred to the processing plant, then shifts to several steps to turn the cereal into the known bottle form, starting with extracting the glucose, then ferment the finer product into polymers, finally shaped into bottles and ready to be transferred and sold.

Continuing with the plastic bottles' life cycle, where its the longest, compared to the making and forming stage, the bottle gets trashed after it has been used, it either gets recycled to use again or stays in the landfill where it’s almost impossible to biodegrade plastic.
