The diagram illustrates how trampling affects the environment in the non-urban area. Overall, there are nine stages in the process with two cases, they all begin with flattening grass by human's feet and end with the deterioration of the soil's quality.
Everything starts when tourists are walking in the countryside area. There are two possible scenarios, both of them lead to the same sorrowful end. First of all, vegetation is easily damaging and, following this, the plant's stems and leaves become much weaker. At the same time, trampling makes soil significantly harder, because the amount of the air in the soil decreases, so plants stop naturally develop and normally reproduce. Due to it the erosion swiftly grows, vegetation sharply reduces, that aggravates the quality of the soil.
In the subsequent stage, there is erosion and decreased quality of the soil, which leads to vegetation death and irreparably spoils the environment.
