You saw an advert asking for volunteers to run a charity event:
1. Explain why you are interested in helping
2. give details suitable past experience
3. suggest ways you might help with the event
Dear Mr John Smith,
I am writing to you regarding an article published on 05th September in the Times of India newspaper on the charity event.
I am fond of children and the innocent smile on their face. When I read the article about the charity event organized to help physically challenged children, I was overwhelmed by the generosity of the organizers of the event. They are striving hard to make the society a better place to live for the physically challenged children. I would like to help the organizers in their noble cause.
This is not going to be my first charity event. I have participated in similar charity programs before. I was a member of a fundraising team which helps to gather money to pay medical bills of financially challenged people.
I would like to help in preparing food for the event because I always got rave reviews on my culinary skills. Also, It gives me immense pleasure when children like my food.
Looking forward to a positive reply.
Yours faithfully,
Divya Sree Cheruku
