The bar chart compares the proportion of daily Internet users in four different age groups in the UK between 2003 and 2006.
Overrall, the percentage of young people who used Internet everyday was much higher than those in older groups.
There were above 80% of people age 16 to 24 used Internet everyday in those years. The figure for this group in 2005 was 90% and this was the highest figure shown on this bar chart. By constrast, noone in group of 65 year olds or more used Internet daily in 2003 while only around 13% of them used it in 2005.
The proportions of daily Internet users in 25 to 44 year-olds and 55 to 64 year-olds groups saw a steady growth throughout the period shown. The figure for the former group increased from 50% to 80% while the figure for the latter one rose from 30% to 50%. Adults age 45 to 54 had a fluctuated percentage of Internet users and peaked at 60% in 2004.
